Anti-inflammatory Ginger and Grapefruit Smoothie
Grapefruits are a wonderful source of vitamin C and antioxidants—and they make a wonderful base for this smoothie! Combining grapefruit with turmeric and fresh ginger for their anti-inflammatory properties, bananas for sweetness, and cashews for healthy fats, this drink is perfect as an on-the-go breakfast, and you can even sneak in a handful of fresh spinach to get a dose of greens!

Serves 1
Ingredients
1 grapefruit, peeled and seeded
1 frozen banana, chopped
2 tablespoons raw cashews
1 teaspoon Raspberry-Lemon Natural Calm
¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
½-inch piece fresh ginger root, chopped
½ cup filtered water
3 ice cubes
Directions
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.

What could be substituted for the banana? I am deathly allergic to banana. Thanks!

I don’t eat bananas either but I love smoothies. I would suggest adding another fruit such as blueberries.
