A Great Way to Use Your Christmas Tree after Christmas
The holiday may be over, but the fun doesn’t have to be. Consider making Christmas tree potpourri. Kids who have a hard time saying goodbye to the tree especially enjoy this fun and easy craft. It also gives them a hands-on recycling project.
Remove needles from the branches. Add complementary scents like fresh cloves and cinnamon sticks. Add about 10 drops of cedar essential oil to a cotton ball and place it, along with the potpourri ingredients, in a paper bag and shake every day for three days. Voilà ‘Christmas tree potpourri!
You can put it in colorful jars with ribbons for gifts, place in bowls to scent a room, or put some in an old sock and toss it in a clothing drawer as a scent freshener.
