Living Air Filters
Architect Anders Nyquist shows us an simple and ingenious method of filtering our indoor air with living filters: plants. Not only do we get cleaner air inside homes, commercial or public buildings, but reduced air conditioning costs as well. The fact that these spaces look more beautiful is just a bonus.
The concept of using plants as living air filters was actually developed my NASA to clean the air on the International Space Station. Makes quite a bit of sense to use it at home.
