To answer your first question: a momo is a Tibetan dumpling. The NYC Momo Crawl was an event organized Saturday, November 22, where nearly 700 New Yorkers came to Jackson Heights, Queens in search of momos.
Using a map that marked each of the 17 different places in the neighborhood that sell momos, the eaters later voted on the winning restaurant that would receive the Golden Momo trophy. Winning this third-annual contest was Lhasa Fast Food, which is in the back of a Tibetan mobile phone store (37-50 74th St., Queens)
